Occupational Therapist

Job Description Inpatient Occupational Therapist – Full time, 30 hours per week. Provide Occupational Therapy services (evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment, delegation of treatment, and discharge planning) to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation setting in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations, considering medical history, physician orders, patient capabilities, and patient expectations. Develop appropriate treatment plan consistent with assessment and diagnostic outcomes, while incorporating patient goals and focus on discharge planning. Implement treatment plan in accordance with methods, techniques, modalities, and procedures. Actively participate in committees and task forces as appropriate. Appropriately provide patient and family education in preparation for discharge. Meet documentation standards with patient charts. Charge accurately and appropriately for services rendered. Perform thorough and efficient chart review to prepare for patient care. Maintain positive and professional communication with interdisciplinary team members. Deliver services in a timely and cost‑effective manner. Display excellent customer service skills. Perform all other duties as assigned. Delegate patient care to COTA, if applicable, following supervisory requirements. Assist other departments during staffing shortages. Benefits Sign‑on bonuses for select positions. Qualifications Education: Degree from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s). Work experience: Prefer 1 year in an inpatient rehab setting but not required. Licenses and certifications: Current South Carolina license, BLS. Skills and abilities: Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, clinical competency, and ability to pass pre‑employment assessments.
