Purchasing Manager

Pay Range: $105,550.00 to $174,160.00 annually

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will direct and lead a procurement team to manage HealthPoint’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain. They are responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire the most cost-effective deals and reduce procurement expenses. They will ensure quality control and adherence to company policies and procurements on supply chain management and financial procurement best practices.


Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Your contribution to the team includes:

• Develop procurement strategies that are inventive, cost-effective, standardized, and improve user-end experience.
• Oversee central supply warehouse operations including workflows, inventory management, and safety.
• Review and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms. This is executed by overseeing sourcing, engaging with reliable suppliers and vendors, and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors.
• Develop workflows for purchasing, receiving, and managing inventory of supplies and equipment purchased centrally and at the clinic sites.
• Monitor and assess budget variances both centrally in administration and at the site clinic level.
• Develop and monitor financial controls for ordering and receiving supplies which includes driving contract compliance at the site level.
• Provide internal customer service to Medical, /Dental as well as Pharmacy by explaining policies and procedures.
• Identify technology and process system issues by working with staff and vendors to resolve deficits in service.
• Oversee and manage the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
• Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition, and training of staff by providing effective leadership. Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.
• Conduct department operations using HealthPoint’s LEAN Management System methodologies to identify waste, determine system improvements, and implement changes through a structured process.
• Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
• Demonstrate respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain Management (MSCM) preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, and procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Immunization Requirements :

Employees working in a HealthPoint clinic must also provide proof of:

• Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
• Hepatitis B vaccination (for clinical positions with potential exposure to blood or bloodborne pathogens)

Documentation must be provided before your start date. If you are unable to provide documentation, HealthPoint can provide required vaccinations or immunity titers at no cost.
