About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 15:00-03:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire) Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center. At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting. Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback. Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department. Description: This position is in a flagship hospital licensed for 815 beds. The facility has been recognized for providing high clinical quality and patient safety. It serves as the region's referral center for trauma, stroke, and neonatal intensive care. The Emergency Department has a bed capacity of 101, with patient ratios typically 4:1. Staffing includes techs, unit clerks, and various medical equipment like monitors and pumps. Documentation is managed through a specified system. Staff members must expect to work every other weekend, as scheduling meets department needs. There is a floating policy within the Emergency Department itself. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to patient experience and respectful behavior.
