Project Architect

Project Architects are ‘the pulse’ of R+B! PA’s leave a lasting impression with our clients, create trusting relationships, and deliver the best project performance. They are ultimately responsible for all drawings, documents, and specifications with specific attention to the technical design of the project.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the project Work Plan, defining clear responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables, accountability, and communicating progress to R+B leadership
• Participate actively in our convergent design process, collaborating with the team to explore, evaluate, and refine ideas into a cohesive design direction
• Communicate expected standards and implementing a quality control plan on every project
• Ensure project start-up and close-out are properly executed
• Ensure financial performance of projects (on time, on budget, and fee collection efforts)
• Create scope of work, fee estimates, proposals, client and consultant contracts, and monitoring, revising, and adjusting the same throughout the project
• Provide and apply design options and vetting them thoroughly while actively engaging the project team
• Advance a shared design vision, incorporate feedback from firm leadership, and maintain design intent through documentation and delivery.
• Navigate multiple design iterations and evolving priorities while maintaining quality and communicating schedule impacts.
• Ask thoughtful questions, clarify direction, and raise concerns about scope, deadlines, or resources early.
• Plan and coordinate work, follow through on commitments, and deliver accurate, complete project documentation.
• Collaborate with interior designers, visualization specialists, consultants, and project teams, respecting each discipline’s expertise.
• Develop and execute detailed, highly customized luxury residential projects with care and precision.

Position Qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant architectural experience or demonstrated equivalent experience, preferably in luxury residential design and delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field
• Passion for a collaborative, convergent design process and the exploration, evaluation, and refinement of ideas toward a shared design vision
• Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accurate, thorough, and coordinated work
• Desire for iterative design, with the ability to incorporate feedback thoughtfully and maintain design intent through technical development
• Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and team coordination, including multiple projects or workstreams as needed
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, recognize when guidance is needed, and raise concerns early
• Strong understanding of architectural design, building systems, construction detailing, and documentation
• Ability to guide and support project teams through clear work planning, communication, collaboration, and timely feedback
• Strong organizational skills, reliable follow-through, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities while communicating impacts on workload and deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and 3D modeling and rendering tools

Salary Range: $80,000–$130,000, based on experience, licensure, and location
