Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator to manage, monitor, and support mission-critical Oracle database environments, with a primary focus on on-premises infrastructure and a growing cloud footprint. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience, including recent on-premises Oracle DBA experience and expertise with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and synchronization. This role requires strong operational knowledge of database maintenance, troubleshooting, backups, recovery, security, and user profile management, along with the ability to support hybrid Oracle environments and cloud migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and support mission-critical Oracle database environments across primarily on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.

• Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and stability of Oracle databases.

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate replication and data synchronization processes.

• Perform database maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.

• Manage database backups, recovery processes, security, and user profiles.

• Proactively monitor database health and respond to alerts and performance issues.

• Triage database-related incidents, assign issues as appropriate, and coordinate resolution activities.

• Serve as a key technical resource during incident bridges and business-critical support calls.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Oracle database issues while minimizing downtime.

• Support Oracle database environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate with technical teams to support cloud migration initiatives and hybrid Oracle environments.

• Identify opportunities to improve database reliability, performance, and operational processes.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience.

• Recent hands-on experience administering Oracle databases in on-premises environments.

• Strong experience with Oracle GoldenGate and real-time database replication.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex Oracle database issues.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle database maintenance and operational support.

• Experience supporting Oracle databases in on-premises and/or cloud environments.

• Cloud experience with GCP or AWS.

• Experience with database backups, recovery, security, and user profile management.

• Ability to monitor database health, respond to alerts, and resolve production issues efficiently.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly during incident bridges and business-critical support situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Oracle database migration initiatives.

• Experience with Oracle database patching.

• Experience supporting hybrid Oracle environments during cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
