Senior Accountant Consultant

Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant. This role maintains a general ledger and related records, and also balances accounts. Responsibilities:
- Prepares daily cash receipts, bank deposits, other eft activity and single point uploads and balances cash accounts; Maintains PDF copies of all checks and deposits
- Maintaining all investment accounts and monthly reports for investment accounts
- Handles monthly general ledger journal, reports, and other business functions; Maintains monthly journal entry books and converting to PDF storage
- Maintains record of fixed assets and depreciation
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and prepares appropriate schedules and reports
- Maintains general ledger reports and reconciliations, helps assist in annual audits and quarterly reporting
- Assists in helping with mail sorting and making sure items go to the correct departments
- Assist and reviews analysis of patient billing and receivable along with monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of previous hospital accounting experience
- Must be proficient in accounting software including automated payroll systems
- Not for profit accounting experience is a plus
