About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours (15:00 - 03:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC needed at time of submission Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - PALS - NIHSS - TNCC - Epic charting experience Description: The Emergency Room nurse works in a fast-paced environment. Shifts are scheduled from 3 PM to 3 AM. There is an option for 36 or 48 hours per week. A minimum of 1 year of ER experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. Two weekend shifts are required per contract. The patient ratio during the day and night shifts is typically 4:1. The average daily census is around 100 patients with 22 beds available. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. Nurses will encounter a variety of patient diagnoses and conditions. Preferred experience includes working in a Community Client setting. Travelers will be expected to float to like units as needed based on facility requirements.
