The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Emergency Room setting. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must have current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Two weekend shifts are required per contract duration. Candidates will be expected to manage a patient ratio of 4:1. The facility has a daily census of approximately 100 visits. Key skills include: - Management of multi-system organ dysfunction/failure - Care of ventilated patients - Intubation and central line management - Administration of emergency medications - Triage and assessment of patients This position supports a collaborative healthcare environment with interdisciplinary teams. Robust performance in a fast-paced setting is essential for success. Travelers may float to similar units based on facility needs. Candidates must possess the ability to adapt to varying patient care situations. Strong communication and crisis management skills are required for effective patient care.
