The Welder 1 assists in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG weld and fit are a plus.Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:Scrapers, 7" grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools usedSafely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building componentsMaintain proper housekeeping of assigned work areaMust always have a high awareness for safetyAny other duties assignedMust train on company policies and proceduresMust follow welding proceduresPreferred Qualifications & Experience:Familiar/fluent in MIG processesPrevious experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plusWelding certifications beneficial but not requiredRequirements:Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of timeMust wear proper safety equipmentAbility to read a tape measureKnowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)Boot Requirements:· Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards· Must be full-leather (no fabric)· Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
