Pacesetter Personnel Services is hiring a Certified Forklift Operator/Material Handler for our client in the Houston, TX 77055 area.

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday 5 AM - 3:30 PM with Friday as needed.
• Overtime as needed.
• Must have a flexible schedule
• Must be available to work overtime or weekends if needed.

Pay:

• $15.00-16.00 an hour. We pay weekly.

Job Overview:

The Certified Forklift/Material Handler will provide logistical support for the manufacturing process. This position will be focused on supporting all departments as needed, with a primary role in manufacturing. This is an on-site hourly position that may require the employee to be in their assigned area before the start of the shift to stage the work area. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensure accuracy of all physical and electronic material movements and stock.
• Count and verify all material based on work orders or packing lists.
• Transfer stock between departments and areas using a forklift and handheld scanning device
• Communicate with zone leads and department heads about issues with movements in the physical system.
• Work safely, quickly, and efficiently to handle stock in various functions throughout the building.
• Maintain daily equipment and movement logs to ensure safe operations.
• Engage in problem-solving and support continuous improvement.
• Keep a spirit of learning and a desire to grow as a team member.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
• Available to work overtime as business needs require.
• Perform other related duties as directed.

Preferred Requirements:

• Forklift Certification is required.
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Must have very high-quality standards and a degree of accuracy and organizational skills
• Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 35-50 lbs. Able to carry up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
• Must have recent forklift experience
