Job Details Application Deadline: Jul 24, 2026 5:00 PM (Central Standard Time) Starting Date: Immediately Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $20,000 per year Responsibilities Assist teacher with daily classroom activities; prepare and modify activities; assist with independent study or lead small groups; inform teacher of students’ progress. Support the improvement of instruction and participate in meeting objectives of the campus/department improvement plan. Assist in resolving parent/student issues and managing student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and handbook. Assist teacher with preparation of instructional equipment, ensure materials and supplies ready, maintain safe instructional area, perform clerical duties and assist with equipment operation. Work collaboratively to improve programs. Participate in professional development to increase effectiveness and improve district performance. Support administration of state‑mandated testing at campuses in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Interact positively with employees and community to provide needed information and promote the district. Participate in team building activities and decision‑making process as appropriate; communicate and collaborate with staff to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Comply with policies established by federal law, including but not limited to State Board of Education and local board policy; perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Enrolled in an educator preparation program and approved by the program to complete required student‑teaching hours. Knowledge of district, campus, and classroom policies and procedures. Knowledge of techniques used in assisting students with special needs. Knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Skill in utilizing general instructional strategies. Skill in applying classroom/student discipline management. Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing. Skill in operating standard computer and software applications. Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities. Physical & Mental Demands Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Sit, walk, stand, stoop, and bend frequently; lift and move up to 50 lbs occasionally. Environmental Factors Work performed indoors and outdoors; involve moderate to frequent exposure to bacteria, communicable diseases, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Constant interpersonal interactions within educational environment.
