Senior Director, Insurance - North America

We're partnering with a rapidly growing enterprise software company that is investing heavily in its North American insurance business. About the Role Following significant global growth and strong market momentum, they're looking to appoint a Senior Director to lead and scale their insurance sales function across the US. This is a player-coach opportunity for an experienced enterprise sales leader who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on involvement in complex enterprise sales. The successful individual will lead a team of Enterprise Account Executives while remaining actively involved in winning new business with Tier 1 and Tier 2 insurance carriers. Responsibilities Lead and execute the North American insurance go-to-market strategy. Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across Tier 1 and Tier 2 insurance carriers. Lead, coach and mentor a team of Enterprise Account Executives. Act as a true player-coach by supporting and participating in strategic enterprise sales opportunities. Build executive relationships with key stakeholders across the insurance ecosystem. Work cross-functionally with leadership, marketing, product and customer teams to accelerate growth. Qualifications Proven experience leading enterprise software sales teams within the insurance industry. Deep understanding of the US carrier landscape and complex enterprise buying processes. A strong track record selling high-value SaaS or data platforms into Tier 1 insurance organisations. Experience leading long, consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to coach while remaining commercially active. Strong relationships across the North American insurance market would be highly advantageous. Experience selling AI, analytics, data platforms, fraud, financial crime or other complex enterprise technology into insurers would be particularly relevant.
