Job Description
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join our Lab Outreach team at Baptist Medical Center. This is a day shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm. Baptist Jacksonville is a Magnet designated hospital, the gold standard for excellence in patient care. We serve families throughout the area with high-quality, comprehensive care for every stage of life. We’re more than blood draw stations. Baptist Health has full-service pathology labs that deliver accurate, timely diagnostic results with comprehensive testing capabilities, advanced technology, and expert pathological analysis to support your patient care decisions. Outpatient lab work and specimen collection services are available at several Baptist Health locations throughout Northeast Florida.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant III, you will be responsible for:
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
Medical Laboratory Assistant II Experience
- Experience Working in a Healthcare Setting
- Phlebotomy Experience
- Specimen Processing Experience
Education & Credential Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
This Medical Laboratory Assistant III position will be located at Baptist Nassau Crossing. If you are interested in this Full-time, day shift opportunity.
