Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a well-established professional services organization in Palm Beach Gardens to hire a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager .
This is a 100% onsite opportunity offering a base salary of $85,000–$100,000+ , with flexibility for the right candidate, plus a discretionary bonus.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background within a law firm, CPA firm, public accounting firm, consulting firm, or similar professional services environment . Prior legal industry experience is preferred, even if it is not recent.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting operations
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger activity
- Support month-end close and account reconciliations
- Assist with client billing, invoicing, billable hours, WIP, and related accounting processes
- Work closely with partners, leadership, and internal staff
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
- Support payroll processing as needed
- Assist with process improvements and accounting efficiencies
- Utilize Excel for reporting, analysis, and reconciliations
- Support the Finance Manager and broader accounting team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
- Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager-level experience
- Prior experience within a law firm, CPA firm, public accounting firm, consulting firm, or similar professional services environment
- Law firm experience strongly preferred, even if from an earlier role
- Experience with client billing, invoicing, billable hours, WIP, or similar professional services accounting processes
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong financial reporting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Payroll experience preferred
- Aderant Expert or similar legal/professional services accounting software is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working directly with partners and leadership
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Schedule
- 100% onsite in Palm Beach Gardens
- Monday–Friday
- Flexible hours between 8:30 AM–5:30 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Compensation
- $85,000–$100,000+ base salary
