Junior Tax Accountant

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate looking to begin a career in public accounting and taxation. The selected candidate will receive hands-on training while supporting tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and client accounting services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of individual and business tax returns.
• Organize and maintain client financial records and tax documentation.
• Perform bookkeeping and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Enter and review financial data using accounting software.
• Support senior accountants and CPAs with tax and accounting projects.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with firm procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients to obtain required information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Recent Graduates encouraged to apply).
• Internship, part-time accounting, or bookkeeping experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a public accounting environment.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to tax preparation or public accounting through internships.
• Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Engagement, or QuickBooks.
• Interest in pursuing CPA certification in the future.
