Brake Press Operator 1st & 2nd Shift

Seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Hartland, WI. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, setting up and operating forming equipment, and verifying part accuracy using precision measuring tools. Pay : $21 - $29/hour depending on experience
Shift : 1st (6 am to 2 pm) & 2nd (2:30 pm to 11 pm)

Key Responsibilities for Brake Press Operator :

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to form production parts accurately.
• Set up, program, and operate brake press forming equipment.
• Position and align workpieces precisely in the machine.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow housekeeping and safety standards.
• Comply with all quality and safety regulations and production procedures.

Qualifications for Brake Press Operator :

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of brake press operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and metric conversions.
• Knowledge of European, Wila, and custom tooling preferred.
• Experience with Safan and Accurpress press brakes desired.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, routings, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and operate machinery.
• Visual ability to perform detailed, close-range inspection work.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced factory/manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and airborne particles.
• Occasional exposure to chemicals or humid conditions.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required.
