Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary of Position Coordinate activities to direct and control an organization in order to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its performance. Corporate Adheres to the HTGSS policies and procedures Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core Values Complies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety OHSAS 18001 policies and procedures Treats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesy Always strives to maintain a positive work environment Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget Performs additional assignments / duties as required by HOD EHS Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment Meets company safety goals Duties and Responsibilities Assures that only PPAP approved products are delivered to the customer (including process changes, supplier changes, transfers, etc.). Assures that all lessons learned (alerts, customer complaints, analyses, warranty evaluations, etc.) are respected within program phase and serial production. Implement Internal Product, System and Process Audits. Develop and implement quality system documentation and procedures. IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 Management representative. Assure IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements are implemented. Education / Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience. At least 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment. Team work Effective negotiation Personnel Management Compliance targets Proactive Organized Responsible Software Skills Required Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications Experienced with ADP and SAP preferred Demonstrated skills in database maintenance and record keeping Strong understanding of HRIS Physical Demands / Working Conditions Regularly required to talk and hear Frequently required to sit, stand, bend at the knees and waist, and walk Required to use hands to type, handle objects and paperwork Required to reach and hold on to items at chest level or reach above the shoulder May be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Required to use close vision and be able to focus Ability to work extended hours as needed Ability to travel domestic US and/or international if needed The employee generally works in indoor office and warehouse environments.
