As a Security Officer Screener in Madison, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, access control activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entry points and perform screening of employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with site policies and security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening, communication, and policy-based escalation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns within a dynamic technology-focused location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
