Heavy AssemblerWe are currently seeking a Heavy Assembler to join our team due to our tremendous growth. As a Heavy Assembler, you will be responsible for building custom processing equipment from the ground up by following detailed blueprints. Our company specializes in creating mixers and processing equipment for paint, chemical, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. All parts are fabricated in-house before proceeding to the assembly department, where the assembly of units, ranging from 200 to 12,000-gallon drums, occurs. Typically, the assembly process takes at least three weeks.ResponsibilitiesBuild processing equipment and mixers from scratch by interpreting blueprints.Fabricate and assemble industrial equipment and components following custom specifications.Troubleshoot and install equipment, ensuring efficient operation.Utilize mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and machinery.Conduct diagnostic testing and repair of equipment as needed.Maintain good attendance and demonstrate teamwork within the assembly department.Essential SkillsProven mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy assembly or millwright work.Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.Hands-on experience with machines, rotating parts, couplings, bearings, seals, gearboxes, and motors.Ownership of personal hand tools; however, a tool program is available.Experience with tolerances and testing processes.Capability to work with overhead cranes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in diesel engine repair and troubleshooting.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical automotive repair.Why Work Here?Our company offers competitive benefits such as 401k, medical, dental, and vision insurance. It is an open-air environment with parts and sheet metal scattered throughout. A team of four assemblers works collaboratively in this setting. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves. The shift operates from 6:30 AM to 4 PM.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of FORT MILL, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $31.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
