Quality Control Technician

My name is Avery , and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Fort Mill, SC of the position are as follows:


Job Description:

  • Pay is $20-23 an hr
  • 6 - month assignment with the potential for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
  • Mon-Thurs: 8PM-6:30AM (Night Shift)
  • The position will mainly be responsible for quality inspection and auditing of manufacturing operations, component and finished goods as well as quality records, assisting in completing discrepancy corrective/preventative action.
  • The position will perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections ensuring compliance to quality metrics and standards.
  • The position will conduct required process audits and update the work instructions (SOPs) as required.
  • The position will record measurement data into database systems for capturing, analyzing, and providing timely and accurate reporting.
  • The position will read and interpret blueprint drawings and be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • The position will inspect and examine material for quality compliance and process rejected product.
  • The position will operate forklifts, power pallet jacks or manual carts or pallet hacks to unload, move, or store materials.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required!
  • 2+ years of experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, heigh gauges, calipers, etc. Required!
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, squares, and square roots. Required!
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, quality assurance practices, and concepts with the ability to lead continuous improvement Required!
  • Able to read tape measures accurately. Required!
  • Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality. Required!
  • Ability to work in excel, create spreadsheets, and manipulate data. Required!
