Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students in a vibrant school setting near Torrance, CA. This full-time, onsite contract role offers a chance to make a lasting impact as part of a collaborative team working with young learners. Serving an elementary caseload, you will engage with students, staff, and families to deliver vital occupational therapy services Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 3:30PM, through June 9, 2027.

Ideal candidates will thrive working with children and demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique needs found in a school environment. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering student growth are key.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active California COTA license required
• Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting (elementary preferred)
• Proficiency in school-centered documentation, collaboration, and goal setting
• Ready for an immediate start and able to commit to the contract duration
• Comfortable working onsite in a dynamic school environment
• Willing to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the selection process

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students in individual and group settings
• Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to develop student-centered goals and plans
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
• Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and contribute to ongoing student progress reviews
• Promote inclusion, independence, and functional success across students academic and daily activities
