Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.Job Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsComplete a thorough assessment of children referred for adoption which will include the child’s strengths, weaknesses, services needed, appropriateness of adoption plan, and projected time frame for placementComplete a thorough family resource assessment for prospective adoptive parents which will include family background, personal history, significant relationships, support network, parenting experience, attitudes toward birthparents, motivation and fertility issues and recommendations for appropriateness of familyMaintain cases records in accordance with agency and EEC, and DCF regulationsSingle service assessments and/or family resource assessments will be assigned on an as needed basisMay be required to cover families or children during periods of transition which can include providing transportation and case management responsibilitiesWillingness to work a flexible schedule as needed to include occasional weekendand/or evening workBecome a certified MAPP trainerMaintain regular and timely attendancePossess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsMaintain a high quality of work that meets the guidelines and policies of the programMaintain a positive working relationship with agency staff, supervisors, and community contactsMaintain a high level of professionalismParticipate in independent education and training opportunitiesParticipate in team meetingsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Travel RequiredMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that meets CFS Driver Policy. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Required Education and ExperienceCompleted Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
