Tax Associate

A Professional Services Firm is seeking an experienced tax professional to join their team as a Tax Associate. Responsibilities Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and trusts Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks Online and Desktop Reconcile bank accounts and credit card activity to ensure accurate financial reporting Assist with payroll tax filings and sales tax compliance Communicate directly with clients to gather documentation, address questions, and provide status updates Maintain accurate and organized client records and supporting documentation Support year-end tax planning and advisory initiatives Stay informed on tax law updates and evolving compliance requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree is a plus CPA designation highly preferred 2+ years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping, preferably within public accounting Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Experience with tax preparation software such as Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, or similar platforms Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
