Dermatology Health and Science Specialist – Los Angeles, CA Responsibilities The Dermatology Health & Science Specialist is responsible for launching new products, determining the best strategies to manage business relationships, understanding formulary access, and engaging in product promotion within assigned accounts. The role also includes sales efforts and relationship development with assigned customers and accounts, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Identify and implement the most efficient virtual/in-person engagement strategies to maximize overall effectiveness and impact; develop and implement effective business and territory call plans and adapt based on self‑identified opportunities and insights. Build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and face‑to‑face environments; maintain a methodical approach toward call objectives and manage KPIs; utilize current digital tools effectively and adapt quickly to new or beta tools; leverage analytics to develop insights and next‑best action plans. Deliver relevant, targeted messaging utilizing approved materials to drive product demand and leverage account priorities to achieve positive business outcomes; provide insights for new product messaging and resources. Leverage product and disease‑state knowledge to educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions for relevant patient populations; effectively use approved clinically oriented disease‑state information. Coordinate with HCPs and office staff to plan customer engagements in multiple formats; ensure appropriate use of samples, vouchers, co‑pay resources, and patient education. Integrate guidance from management and other support functions (Marketing, Strategy) and technical solutions into pre‑call planning; proactively plan and optimize call environments in multiple locations; collaborate with other customer‑facing colleagues and the Pfizer Connect team. Support patients’ access to Pfizer products by providing information on reimbursement, the Patient Assistant Program, Pfizer Hub programs, and co‑pay resources. Present terms of sale or contract terms with approved language, answer on‑label questions, and introduce customers to the Pfizer on‑demand portal (Galaxy) with targeted content. Qualifications Must‑Have A bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years of prior pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical‑marketing/promotional/sales experience; demonstrated leadership in peer groups and experience with third‑party reimbursement and service center utilization. History of marketing, promotional, or sales success; strong territory management, outstanding communication, teamwork, leadership, and accountability. Must reside within 50 miles of the territory. Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record compliant with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify the applicant. Nice‑to‑Have 3–5 years of specialty marketing, promotional, or sales experience. Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products. Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers, HCPs, institutions, organizations). Strategic account marketing, promotional, sales, and management skills. Superior marketing, promotional, sales, technical, and relationship‑building skills. Track record of assessing account needs and delivering relevant information and resources to drive performance. Business acumen, problem‑solving, strategic thinking, data analytics, project management, and planning skills. Ability to engage, influence, and support customers throughout the marketing, promotional, and sales process with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Quick learner who embraces new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment. Experience working in a matrix environment and leveraging multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results. Strong leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and effective resource utilization. Other Requirements Ability to travel to all accounts and office locations within the territory. Depending on the size of the territory and business needs, candidates may be required to stay overnight as necessary. Other Job Details Last Date to Apply: July 10, 2026 The annual base salary ranges from $101,500 to $202,900. During initial new hire sales training, the role is classified as a salary non‑exempt employee, entitling the employee to overtime pay. Upon training certification, the employee becomes an overtime exempt employee. The position also offers an additional sales incentive bonus. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions, additional retirement savings contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits covering medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility. Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer. U.S. work visa sponsorship (such as TN, O‑1, H‑1B, etc.) is not available for this role now or in the future.
