Supporter Engagement Specialist, Los Angeles

Location Los Angeles (hybrid – remote and on-site). Position Objective You will implement the supporter engagement program to promote long term relationships, retention, and growth. You will provide excellent service to ADI supporters: gift entry and acknowledgements, engagement by phone, email, letter; dealing with inquiries, donations, assistance with making donations and advocacy. Management of Raiser’s Edge and Engaging Networks systems including data entry, segmentation, development of lists, reports, auditing, data integrity. Distribution of news, action alerts, publications. You will play a key role in delivering ADI’s development and campaign objectives. About You You are dedicated to animal rights and ADI’s objectives, our campaigns for legal protection for animals, rescues, education, and the protection of our shared environment. With strong verbal and written communication skills, you have a friendly, welcoming approach – you enjoy helping supporters to make their donations and participate in advocacy campaigns. You have significant experience with Raiser’s Edge, Engaging Networks and other database and communication tools to advance ADI’s campaigns. With strong technical aptitude/data management/manipulation skills; you enjoy data and understand how it can be used to advance fundraising and campaigns objectives. You can prioritize and manage multiple projects. Strong collaboration skills; helping to deliver ADI’s campaigns and fundraising objectives. About the role Minimum three years’ experience with Raiser’s Edge and Engaging Networks (certified) and/or similar systems; ability to grow ADI’s donor and advocate base. Experience with implementation and reporting on development strategies for nonprofits. Minimum two years’ experience; segmentation, creating lists and reports, data hygiene, etc., and strong in general system management. Strong technical aptitude and data manipulation; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, etc. Diligent processing of donations, acknowledgements, correspondence, emails, phone calls. Integrity and confidentiality in the handling of sensitive and confidential information. Working closely with Finance team to ensure integrity of financial records. You also enjoy being one of the points of contact for general inquiries, with a friendly, positive, service-oriented approach; min. one year’s experience with handling calls and donor supporter liaison. Requires you to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Uses strong communication skills to work creatively and effectively with campaigns and development teams to develop ADI income and supporter base. Dedication to the mission and values of Animal Defenders International. Terms Salary: $50-60,000/year, (depending on experience/qualifications). Hybrid; remote with 2-3 day a week on-site. Permanent, full time, exempt, at-will.
