If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity as a Mechanical Engineer II.The Mechanical Engineer II will report to the Lead Engineer for Co-Generation and Advanced BOP Mechanical & Chemical Process Engineering responsible for performing engineering ensuring standards and industry-specific engineering activities are met. You will be an individual contributor fully proficient applying established standards and knowledge-base from years of experience in a particular area working independently. This position is hybrid at the discretion of the manager requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Rock Hill, SC or Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position. We can entertain candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesTasks for engineering, procurement and implementation maintaining long-term operations of existing power plants including legacy Westinghouse designsDesign thermal-fluid systems, equipment sizing and specification, procurement package development, incorporation of supplier data, and coordination for integrated engineeringEngineering design development, site walkdowns, interpret design drawings, manage design changes, and respond to support requestsCollect and compile data for design development, technical summaries, and project reportsAssist w/ proposals, labor & material estimates and design packagesQualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering3-6 years' experienceMechanical engineering design codes and standards like ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ASHRAE, HEIImpact relationships of other disciplines' drawings on design like Electrical, Civil, and StructuralWilling to work towards EIT/FEAble to maintain unescorted access to power plantsAbility to travelAnnually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.Why Westinghouse?
