Trademark Associate Attorney (Prosecution)Direct Counsel is seeking a Trademark Associate to join a top-ranked national intellectual property law firm with one of the most respected trademark and copyright practices in the country.This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside nationally recognized trademark and copyright attorneys, advising some of the world's leading companies on brand protection, trademark prosecution, enforcement, licensing, advertising, and intellectual property strategy.About the RoleThe firm's trademark practice serves clients across a broad range of industries, providing strategic and business-focused counsel on domestic and international trademark matters.Associates in this role will work on a variety of trademark and copyright matters, including:U.S. and international trademark clearance, counseling, and prosecutionReviewing and analyzing trademark search resultsPreparing substantive responses to USPTO office actionsAdvising clients on trademark portfolio development and protection strategiesTrademark enforcement matters and dispute resolutionDrafting and responding to cease-and-desist lettersDomain name disputes and UDRP proceedingsTrademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedingsCounseling clients regarding trademarks, branding, advertising, and social media-related issuesCopyright counseling and related intellectual property mattersThis position offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to become a trusted advisor to innovative companies seeking practical and commercially focused legal solutions.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.Minimum of 2 years of trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution experience.Experience reviewing trademark clearance searches and preparing substantive responses to USPTO office actions.Experience handling trademark enforcement matters, including cease-and-desist letters, domain name disputes, UDRP proceedings, and TTAB actions.Working knowledge of copyright law.Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to manage complex legal matters with attention to detail and strategic judgment.Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar and compliance with all applicable CLE requirements.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Why Consider This OpportunityThis nationally recognized intellectual property firm is known for its innovative culture, collaborative environment, and commitment to professional development.
