what you'll do dishwashing + equipment care
what you'll do dishwashing + equipment care
- operate dishwashing equipment safely + efficiently
- wash, sanitize, and store cookware + cutlery
- ensure all kitchen tools + equipment are clean + ready for service
- report any equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly
- assist chefs with basic prep + portioning tasks when needed
- restock kitchen stations with essential items during service
- help with deliveries, including unloading and organizing stock
- support smooth kitchen flow by clearing and resetting work areas
- maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment
- clean floors, walls, surfaces, and storage areas regularly
- follow wagamama standards for cleanliness at all times
- follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
- support proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
- comply with all local health and safety regulations
- communicate clearly and effectively during busy shifts
- bring positive energy and a team-first mindset every day
- step in to help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- previous kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- reliable, punctual, and a team player
- ability to stand and move for extended periods of time
- able to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs
- comfortable working in a warm, busy kitchen environment
- ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
