Traveling CST OR

The Traveling CST OR is responsible for providing specialized surgical assistance in a fast-paced operating room environment. They support various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining sterile techniques throughout each operation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons by setting up and passing sterile instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
• Monitor and handle specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare the surgical site, drape patients, and manage sterile equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to sterile fields and equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient room turnover and workflow.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an operating room setting.
• Knowledge of orthopedic, ENT, general surgery, urogynecology, and ophthalmic procedures.
• Proficiency in sterile techniques, surgical setup, and intraoperative assistance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Current BLS certification required.
