Key Responsibilities of the RN - OR Operating Room

• Perform orthopedic surgeries including total joints
• Assist in ENT, general, and uro/gyn surgeries
• Identify and set up procedures, ensuring sterile technique
• Manage surgical counts, specimen handling, and site preparation
• Handle medications on the sterile field and troubleshoot contamination
• Ensure fast room turnover and work independently with minimal orientation

Requirements of the RN - OR Operating Room

• BLS Certification
• CST Certification
• Experience in orthopedic, ENT, general surgery, and sterile practice
