JSG is recruiting a Lead Estimator for our client in Houston TX. We are searching for a dynamic Lead Estimator to take charge of cost estimation across all project phases, from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with top-tier industry experts, shape project budgets, and contribute to vital infrastructure that powers communities. This is your chance to showcase your expertise, drive innovation, and work on impactful projects in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Pay $85/hour to $95/hour depending on experience. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or a related field, OR 15+ years of relevant experience. Proven experience in an estimating environment, with the ability to develop estimates across all project phases. Proficiency with estimating systems such as Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) or similar, and working knowledge of Primavera P6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration. Certification with AACE, PMI, or CMAA is preferred. Familiarity with industry best practices, stage-gated project processes, and EPC scopes. Nice to Have Skills: Experience in energy, power grid, or utilities sectors. Skills in quantitative risk analysis and cost management software. Knowledge of BIM and digital estimating tools. Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and lead large-scale estimates. Other Requirements: Willingness to support travel as needed. Certification in AACE, PMI, or CMAA is advantageous. Must be comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
