Job Opportunity

The role involves planning and providing comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. The nurse will direct and guide patient education while overseeing the activities of ancillary personnel, all while adhering to professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• BCLS & ACLS certification required
• Previous nursing experience preferred, but not necessary

Work Hours

This is a full-time night position that requires 12-hour shifts. The shifts are scheduled from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, working three shifts per week with every third weekend included and rotating holiday coverage.

Employment & Health Requirements

Prior to the contract start date, the following requirements must be met:

• Two recent employment references
• Online verification of licensure or certification, including expiration dates and any disciplinary actions
• BLS & ACLS certification (Copy of both sides of the cards required)
• Immunizations:
  • MMR (2 doses or positive titer)
  • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccinations)
  • Polio vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Current TDaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) dated within the last 10 years
  • Flu vaccination required during Flu Season
• Negative 2-step Mantoux test within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold test (if positive, proof of positive test & chest x-ray results required)
• Proof of a physical examination within 1 year
• 10-panel drug screen within the last month
• Respiratory fit test within 1 year (provided if not available)
• Criminal background checks for all states where a professional license is held or where the individual has lived/ worked in the past 7 years (within 30 days)
• National and/or State Sex Offender Registry check (within 30 days)
• OIG check (within 30 days)
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse
• Completion of CareLearning education modules (further instructions will be provided)
