Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Dates: December 7, 2026 through March 8, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Three 12-hour rotating shifts per week
• Shift: Full-time nights, approximately 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with rotating 12-hour shift coverage
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Rotating holiday coverage
• Call: No call required
• Work Arrangement: On-site travel assignment

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current, unrestricted Iowa Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Medical-surgical or acute-care experience preferred; experience is not required for consideration
• Ability to complete required employment, immunization, health screening, background screening, and facility education requirements before the assignment begins
• Iowa mandatory reporter certifications for child abuse and dependent adult abuse, or willingness to complete them before the start date

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients using the nursing process
• Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately within scope of practice
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary team members to support quality patient outcomes
• Delegate and guide the activities of nursing support and ancillary personnel
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional nursing standards
