Key Qualifications:

• Valid state and educational licensure required for Assistive Technology Specialist roles
• Demonstrated experience in assistive technology and the use of AAC devices
• Ability to conduct functional evaluations and draft Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills, particularly in interdisciplinary teams with OT, PT, and teaching staff
• Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and a deep commitment to student accessibility
• Detail-oriented, with experience monitoring student progress and managing due process
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offer itinerant support by evaluating needs and consulting on curriculum modifications and classroom accessibility through the use of assistive technology
• Manage due process by conducting comprehensive evaluations, crafting individualized goals, writing IEPs, and tracking student achievement
• Collaborate regularly with occupational and physical therapists, as well as general education teachers, to integrate assistive technology solutions in inclusive settings
• Ensure compliance with all legal and educational standards in documentation and student support
• Provide ongoing recommendations to optimize learning outcomes for students using AT or AAC devices

This position is full-time (37.5 hours weekly), following the academic calendar from August 1, 2026, to June 2, 2027, and is entirely on-site.
