Part Time Treatment Nurse (RN)Illinois CancerCare is seeking a Part Time Treatment Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate and collaborative team. As a Treatment Nurse at Illinois CancerCare, you'll be part of a mission-driven team providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. You'll work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellow nurses to deliver life-saving therapies and support patients throughout their treatment journey. From administering chemotherapy to educating families and responding to urgent needs, you'll be a trusted partner in every step of care.This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, typically 2-3 days per week, making it an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking work-life balance. While aligned to a primary clinic, you may have the opportunity to support nearby Illinois CancerCare locations as needed, with travel based on your home location and clinic needs.Pay & BenefitsHiring Pay Range: $34.00-$50.00 per hour. (Based on experience, education, and other factors)Medical, dental, and vision insurance (multiple plan options)Special wellness programs – Maven, HingeHealth, Livongo, Vitality, and Wondr401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsCompany-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Paid time off and holidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Discounts through our Perks ProgramResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoAdministering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments with precision and adherence to safety protocols.Performing clinical procedures such as port flushes, dressing changes, injections, and catheterizations.Assessing patients in person and by phone for side effects, toxicities, emergencies, and overall well-being.Supporting physicians with diagnostic procedures and reporting thorough nursing assessments.Preparing daily treatment schedules and ensuring readiness of teaching materials and clinic resources.Maintaining a clean, organized treatment environment and delegating tasks appropriately.Responding calmly to emergencies and operating necessary equipment.Triaging patient calls and collaborating with team nurses to provide timely support.Traveling to satellite clinics 1–2 days per week to extend care across our network.Maintaining professional relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, and community partners.Staying current with education and obtaining OCN certification within 3 years.Upholding HIPAA and safety standards in all aspects of care.QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForCurrent Illinois RN license (required)BSN preferred1+ year of clinical nursing experiencePassion for oncology nursing and patient-centered careAbility to work in a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environmentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
