Description The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance and assigned tasks within their assigned area of responsibility. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the efficient and effective use of all manpower and resources under their direct supervision. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, in the most effective manner, the Maintenance Supervisor is additionally responsible for developing his/her group into a well-trained maintenance team that performs precision maintenance. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor provides the equipment-related expertise and technical guidance required to support the necessary activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage, motivate, develop, and provide direct leadership to maintenance personnel Works directly with the maintenance scheduler to ensure success with the tech's schedules Knows and effectively utilizes the skills and knowledge of each maintenance team member Oversee proper allocation of maintenance resources to each task Manage assignment of maintenance staff to tasks promptly, both at the beginning of shifts and throughout the day Ensure complete understanding of each job's details (what, how, why, where and when of each job) among maintenance staff, facilitating questions and clarification Maintain communication on job progress, address delays promptly, and ensure continuous workflow in coordination with the maintenance manager Monitor and reduce lost time between jobs, lunch breaks, and shift transitions Ensuring the orderly conduct of maintenance team members with respect to company policy and work rules Monitoring/overseeing of work to ensure quality and progress Coordinates maintenance effort between shifts to achieve orderly personnel shift changes Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices Evaluate training needs to ensure that mechanics are properly equipped to perform their job duties Review and document attendance records and provide input of the employee performance evaluations Oversee adherence to preventative maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion Provide effective communications throughout department and facilitate team meetings as needed Creating, tracking, and verifying the completion of daily schedules assigned to maintenance technicians Summary of Benefits: We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support the well-being and success of our team members, including: Health & Dental Insurance - after 60 days of employment 401(k) Retirement Plan - With 5% company match after 6 months of employment Vacation after 90 days of employment Holiday Pay after 90 days of employment Short-Term Disability & Life Insurance after 90 days of employment Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) Bi-Weekly Pay through Direct Deposit Company-provided Group Term Life insurance coverage Safety Footwear Reimbursement Professional Growth - Opportunities for training, advancement, and career development Compensation: Compensation for this position is commensurate with education, experience, and relevant qualifications. Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment. Knowledgeable in electromechanical equipment operations and troubleshooting. Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines to maintain regulatory compliance. Able to obtain licenses for and operate powered industrial equipment at a safe level. Knowledge of HMI (Human/Machine Interface) systems. Understanding of 120/240VAC electrical systems and low voltage DC and control wiring. Must be able to climb ladders and work from heights. Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for the Preventative Control - Cleaning and Sanitation Program. Education/Experience: High School Diploma and a Secondary degree in Manufacturing, Process Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum five years' experience in the maintenance field and three years' experience in dairy plant operations would be optimal. Exceptional knowledge of computer skills of schematics software, Auto-CAD, PLC software, and HMI (Humane Machine Interface) programs. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage complex operations among multiple departments in a process environment. Exceptional leadership characteristics, communication skills, and ability to interact at senior management level.
