About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief for its Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The successful candidate will be an academic physician leader with a strong background in strategic leadership, and will be responsible for the planning, policy, and operations of the division's academic, research, and clinical programs. This role requires a leader with financial authority over the division's budget and funding, as well as the discretion to recruit and retain faculty. The Chief will also be expected to engage in teaching, clinical service, and scholarly work, and must have a proven track record of national distinction in the field. Applicants for the Chief position must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board-certified in Gastroenterology, and have a minimum of 5 years' of administrative experience in an academic medical center. The role demands a candidate with a strong commitment to patient care, a service-oriented, team-based philosophy, and a successful history of faculty and staff recruitment and development. While not mandatory, additional qualifications such as an additional health profession degree and experience in program development and research in autoimmunity are preferred. The Chief will work in close collaboration with other leaders and must be prepared to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including academic and clinical partners.
