Position Highlights Location: Melrose Park, IL Start Date: September 21, 2026 Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week Pay: $50/hour Assignment Details This is an in-person Special Education Teacher position supporting students in a RISE Program autism-focused classroom serving 1st and 2nd grade students . The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students on the autism spectrum, implementing individualized supports, and creating a structured learning environment that promotes academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction and support to students in an autism-focused classroom setting Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior support strategies Utilize evidence-based instructional practices to support student learning and engagement Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, and families Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education requirements Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success Qualifications Updated Resume Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement or appropriate Special Education certification Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred Previous school-based experience preferred Why Join Amergis?
