Personal Care Specialist

Personal Care Specialist A Personal Care Specialist is a driving position requiring travel throughout Franklin and surrounding counties. This is a full‑time position with hours of 8:00am-4:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation. We provide superior care and services to patients at the end of their life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed. The Personal Care Specialist's essential duties are: Our CNAs are titled "Personal Care Specialist" because they are valued for their expertise in taking care of the patient's personal needs with dignity, compassion and empathy. A Personal Care Specialist provides quality nursing assistance to patients, assists families with the care of the patient, and works with a team that relies on your input from the close relationship you develop with the patient. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; Certified State‑Tested Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio without any board actions preferred; One year of experience preferred; Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain it; Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care; Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather; Valid Driver's license with safe driving record; State minimum automobile insurance coverage; Must be able to pass a background check; Must be able to pass a 10‑panel drug screen.
