Reception/Patient Care Coordinator

We are always willing to interview the right candidate for a reception/patient care coordinator; this person has strong customer service skills, as well as being positive and friendly, and has a strong work ethic. There are multiple components of the job to keep you on your toes including working with our patient base face to face as well as via text and email. We are a relatively low volume but high customer service environment that strives for an excellent patient experience above all else. ​​​​​​​Previous medical or optometric office experience is a plus, but not required.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Greet customers and patients when they arrive

• Check-in and check-out patients and customers

• Communicate with patients via phone, text and email

• Answer the phone in the office

• Schedule appointments for eye exams, contact lenses and eyeglasses

• Review and look up medical insurance eligibility for patients

• Review and look up out of network vision benefits for clients

• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA

• Review and prepare patient’s billing information

• Clean, stock, and maintain supplies in the office

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationships with clients, deliver top-notch service

• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and have strong organization skills

• High comfort level with computers, electronic health records, and digital communication

• Demonstrated compassion for patients

• Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment

• Promote and foster a positive work environment

• Optometry or medical office experience not required, but a plus
