Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. Maintain the flow of the restaurant so the guest experience is not compromised. Thank every guest as they depart. Responsibilities Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible. Work the computerized seating and reservation system effectively. Provide guests with estimated waiting time. Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible. Seat guests based on preferences while maintaining balancing of customer flow in server stations. Answer phones with the correct greeting and direct calls or take messages. Maintain cleanliness of the host station and front entry. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by manager or supervisor. Working Conditions and Expectations Work schedule may vary between early morning to late evening, weekends and holidays. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours and overtime may be requested. Able to work in a fast paced environment and keep up with guest needs. Work inside as well as outside dining areas. Represent the restaurant professionally. Respect guests. Demonstrate teamwork across all areas. Maintain a positive attitude in all situations. Follow safety and sanitation rules and laws. Attend all scheduled employee meetings. Act in the best interest of the restaurant, employees, and guests. Accept feedback and coaching from management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred customer service and/or restaurant experience. Clear and effective communication in the predominant languages of guests. Knowledge of the food menu. Food Handlers certificate required. Physical Requirements Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) in a multiple level building. Safely lift and maneuver items up to 15 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
