CNC Programmer Job in Toledo, OH

Schedule & Compensation

1. Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2. Salary range: $58,000 – $70,700 depending on experience

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced CNC Punch Press Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Toledo, OH. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable, established company. The primary focus of this role is programming, not operating. This person will spend much of their time writing and managing CNC programs for the punch press and brake press. Operating the press's directly will only be required on an occasional basis.

Responsibilities of the CNC Programmer Job in Toledo, OH

• Download AutoCAD/DXF files from the server, verify for errors, and import drawings for programming.
• Write G-code programs in 2D form from AutoCAD drawings, DXF files, sketches, or engineering prints.
• Verify programs against prints for accuracy and perform first-part checks.
• Coordinate and prioritize punch press workload to support production schedules.
• Estimate and requisition sheet material for upcoming jobs; track steel sheet inventory and maintain steel allocation.
• Maintain tooling inventory for punch press and brake press; requisition tooling as needed.
• Work closely with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications of the CNC Programmer Job in Toledo, OH

• Hands-on experience programming CNC turret punch presses
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Experience working with DXF files is a strong plus
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge required; stronger CAD skills are a plus
• Familiarity with MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, or equivalent CAM software is a plus
• Knowledge of G-code programming in a 2D environment
• Candidates with a laser cutting background are encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good problem-solving skills
