Principal Storage Engineer

Salary: $112,700 - 193,200 per year Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• We require 8+ years of deep expertise in storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and data protection solutions.
• We require 5+ years of experience leading large-scale technology initiatives and cross-functional programs.
• We require 4+ years of experience in capacity planning, utilization analysis, and infrastructure forecasting.
• We require 3+ years of experience with infrastructure automation, scripting, and process improvement.
• We prefer experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Pure Storage, HPE storage solutions, and related ecosystem technologies.
• We prefer experience with infrastructure monitoring, observability, and reporting platforms.
• We prefer experience building executive-level operational and capacity reporting.
• We prefer knowledge of cloud storage architectures and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• We prefer proven strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• We lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage platforms.
• We develop technical standards and engineering best practices for storage, backup, and data management solutions.
• We evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic platform enhancements.
• We serve as senior technical advisors for infrastructure modernization and transformation efforts.
• We own storage capacity forecasting, utilization reporting, and growth modeling.
• We analyze consumption trends and recommend expansion, consolidation, and optimization actions.
• We create executive and operational reports to support infrastructure investment decisions.
• We manage storage inventory, refresh planning, and technology lifecycle activities.
• We drive automation initiatives that improve provisioning, monitoring, deployment, and operational efficiency.
• We streamline operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
• We provide engineering guidance to project teams, infrastructure teams, and operational support groups.
• We lead technical reviews, solution design discussions, and complex troubleshooting efforts.
• We mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.
• We coordinate cross-functional efforts across storage, compute, networking, and data protection teams.
• We ensure platform availability, resiliency, performance, and recoverability.
• We support incident management, root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
• We establish metrics and dashboards that measure infrastructure health and operational effectiveness.
