Ice Cream Sales
Ensuring every guest leaves delighted by providing an experience that exceeds guest expectations. May at times assume the position of cashier, cook, cleaning, server or other task assigned.

- Starting in May and continuing through August, all staff working any weekend shift (Saturdays & Sundays) will receive $2 per hour extra pay called Weekend Gratitude, then September 1 - September 30 you will receive $2 per hour for any shift on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. October 1 - October 31 the Weekend Gratitude is $3 per hour. This will be paid the following month on a separate check. Half our business occurs on the weekend that's when you are most needed and most valuable to Young's. Weekend Gratitude is a thank you for being here on the weekends and helping our Guests have a great visit.
- To receive a bonus, you must be actively employed with Young's Jersey Dairy on the date the bonus is paid, which is currently the second Wednesday of each month.
Requirements:
Availability:
Must be available to work two of the three weekend days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Experience:
Basic math skills required.
Physical:
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift crates of balls and trays frequently weighing up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Determine assigned service area from station list at start of work shift
- Prepares the ice cream or food for the guest
- Greets guests and suggests appropriate menu items
- Informs guests of specials and menu changes, make suggestions and answers questions regarding food, beverages and service
- Must be able to describe menu items in a manner that would entice the customer
- Must possess detailed knowledge of the menu items, their ingredients and cooking methods
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests and relays order to kitchen staff, via the POS
- May serve food from kitchen if stationed
- Takes ice cream orders from guest and prepares the order
- Keeps service stations clean and sanitary
- Completes other related tasks as assigned
