You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience as a pasta cook, you can manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Responsibilities Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, etc Season and cook food according to recipes Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty Qualifications Be 18 years of age Previous experience as a pasta cook preferred Ability to lift 30+ lbs Ability to work standing for 8+ hours #J-18808-Ljbffr
