Psychiatrist - Outpatient

Psychiatrist Location: Outpatient – Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services Schedule: Tuesday - Friday | 4x10s Rate: Up to $175/hour, DOE and board status Reliable hiring a psychiatrist to provide outpatient psychiatric care and medication management to adult clients at Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS). This position includes supporting individuals referred through Mental Health Court, Competency Court, and intensive case coordination programs. Incumbents will evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans in partnership with nurses, therapists, and case managers. This is a weekday clinic role with no nights, weekends, or on‑call expectations. Key Responsibilities: Complete psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Provide medication management and follow‑up appointments Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications as clinically appropriate Order and interpret labs and diagnostics Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff Provide referrals to internal and community‑based services Educate patients on medications, diagnoses, and treatment plans Minimum Required Qualifications: Active Nevada MD or DO license in good standing 1 year post residency experience; outpatient experience strongly preferred Active Nevada prescriptive authority and DEA Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively W-2 Position & 1099 Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (for full‑time employees) Paid Time Off (PTO, for employees) CEU/Professional Development reimbursements No-cost professional liability insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Reliable Health Care Services of Southern Nevada, Inc
