Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment, educating patients and families on post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and the patient or caregiver, ensuring communication of the plan across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and addresses preferences, barriers and cultural considerations. Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely in a safety‑sensitive position.
