Field Biologist – Greensboro, NC Position Title: Field Biologist Location: Greensboro, NC Employment Status: Full‑time Pay Range: $42,000–$45,000 annually, commensurate with experience About Us: Jones Lake Management has a history of excellence in lake management. Position Summary Full‑time, 40+ hours per week during the peak season. New Field Biologists receive on‑the‑job training and ongoing continuing education. The role involves managing customers’ aquatic resources through regularly scheduled seasonal visits and may include aquatic applications, water quality enhancement, aeration, pond equipment installation/removal, fleet vehicle maintenance, and data entry. Essential Duties Focus on commercial aquatic applications with the pond management team. Develop and initiate management plans for clients. Assess clients’ lakes and/or ponds and initiate appropriate management protocols. Conduct water and sediment sampling. Perform aquatic plant management and identification. Install aeration systems and decorative fountains. Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in biology, water resources, fisheries, or related study, or equivalent work experience. Well‑organized, highly motivated, and a team player. Current driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate combination truck/trailer (non‑CDL) and motor vehicles. Ability to work out of small boats and strong swimming capability. Special Conditions of Employment Must obtain an applicators license within 30 days of employment; training materials will be provided. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs. Bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms at or over shoulder. Work extended hours in all weather conditions. Work out of small boats and strong swimmer.
