Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid MS SPED K-12 license required
- Prior experience in self-contained or special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable working with teaching assistants in a team environment
- Dedication to fostering growth and inclusion for each student
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to a small, self-contained class (K-8)
- Collaborate with two teaching assistants to deliver differentiated support
- Develop, modify, and update IEPs according to best practice and school procedures
- Maintain close communication with families and support teams
- Participate in ongoing school-based professional development
- Utilize both creative and evidence-based strategies to reach all learners
