SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Developer IV for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The candidate will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications within a fast-paced technical environment. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing software solutions while contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications for the Developer IV:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6+ years of experience in application development, systems analysis, or software engineering
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, systems integration, and application design
• Experience working in enterprise or multi-platform technical environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and operational support groups
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation standards

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Developer IV:

• Experience with enterprise mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, or IMS
• Leadership experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications
• Familiarity with high-availability systems and production support environments
• Experience working across both legacy and modern technology platforms

Responsibilities of the Developer IV:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex enterprise software applications
• Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable technology solutions
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to support project objectives and system enhancements
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform debugging activities, and recommend system improvements
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support for development initiatives and enterprise projects

Work Location: Hybrid onsite schedule in Columbia, SC with multiple onsite days required weekly
